It is used in the production of sulfate-resistant cement. It is obtained by preparing the raw meal to have a C3A value under 5,00, followed by its sinterization at high temperatures. It is a hydraulic substance, 2/3 of which by weight is calcium silicates and the rest is made up by clinker phases containing aluminum and iron, as well as other compounds.
